Outdoor Play
Outdoor play is an essential part of early childhood development! At Learning Ladder Christian Preschool, we believe that time spent outside is just as important as time in the classroom. That’s why all of our students—including infants as young as 8 months—enjoy outdoor time twice a day, once in the morning and again in the afternoon.
Our youngest learners, including non-walkers, experience the joy of nature through peaceful buggy rides around the school grounds, playground, and nearby areas. Meanwhile, our older students head to the playground, where they engage in active play, explore the outdoors, and strengthen their growing bodies.
Research shows that outdoor play improves focus, builds confidence, and enhances overall well-being. That’s why we incorporate both free play and structured gross motor activities into our daily schedule, ensuring that children develop important physical, social, and cognitive skills in a fun and engaging way.
Safety is always our top priority. Our playground is monitored by cameras, providing an extra layer of supervision and peace of mind. Through outdoor play, we not only help children develop coordination and social skills but also inspire a lifelong love for movement, discovery, and the beauty of the world around them!
